PROCESS

1

Identify Customer
Needs

Find out what the customer is looking for in terms of type of rubber and their desired specifications.

2

Review Application &
Usage Environment

Find out about the application this rubber is to be used in to better outline the correct chemistry required for the compound. Indoor, outdoor, temperature, contact with water or hydrocarbons, hardness and tensile requirements, etc.

3

Utilize R&D to Create
Compound Specs

Check through our extensive library of existing compounds for similar requirements and pre-existing data to share with the customer’s team.

4

Test Batch

Once we have defined the initial specs, we produce a lab-size batch of the proposed compound along with Lab testing of same.

5

Customer Sample

Ship the customer the lab batch of product for their own testing.

6

Customer Test Results

Review the customer results with our lab personnel.

7

Modifications if
Necessary

This is where the fine-tuning happens and we modify the recipe and testing gates to achieve desired final production specifications.

8

Retest

Just as it sounds, we retest the modified formula to make sure it is up to the new specs and provide the customer with updated lab results on all required ASTM criteria.

9

Full Production Run

Pending the ok from both sides, we move into finalizing pricing, packaging and delivery expectations and then start full production runs.
